The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Adams Oshiomhole has reacted to the Supreme Court judgement sacking David Lyon as the governor-elect of Bayelsa State.
Addressing a press conference on Thursday, Mr Oshiomhole said neither Mr Lyon nor the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, candidate, Douye Diri would be sworn-in on Friday.
According to the chairman, the Supreme Court did not declare Mr Diri as the winner of the election.
“Nobody will be sworn in on Friday as the new governor in Bayelsa state,” Mr Oshiomhole declared.
“In this case, nobody apart from David Lyon meet desire spread as expressed by the Supreme Court.
“The next candidate who happens to be a PDP candidate does not have one-quarter of the votes cast in that election.”
