The Senator representing Bayelsa East constituency, Ben Bruce, says the door is opened for Shehu Sani to join the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, if his party no longer needs him.
The Senator made this gesture towards his colleague via his official twitter handle.
He also appraised Mr Sani’s intellect, describing him as a specimen of patriotism.
Mr. Ben-Bruce tweeted: “Senator @ShehuSani is an asset to Nigeria and a pride to the @NGRSenate. I have traveled all over Nigeria and very few Nigerians can match his intellect.”
“If APC doesn’t want him, the @OfficialPDPNig wants him. Nigeria wants him. Democracy needs him. He’s a specimen of patriotism!.”
Mr Bruce’s comments came after a communique was released on Saturday by chairpersons of the APC in the six local governments that make up Kaduna Central Senatorial district.
The communique, signed by the six chairmen advocated for Uba Sani, an adviser to Nasir El-Rufa’i for the 2019 Kaduna central senatorial ticket.
Mr Sani revealed that it is ‘antics’ by the governor.
He alleged that the Governor has resorted to illegitimate endorsements after failing to dismiss him from the APC.
He said that despite the governor’s moves against him, his constituents are solely and firmly behind him.
