The decomposing body of a notorious armed bandit and cattle rustler, Buharin Daji, has been transported to Gusau, Zamfara amid rains of curses by the residents.
Reports said Buharin Daji, originally known as Buhari Tsoho, was allegedly killed during an infighting with eight of his lieutenants.
Sources told newsmen that Buharin Daji was shot dead by one of his boys called Dogo Gide after an internal wrangling within their camp.
The sources further explained that Buharin Daji had earlier sent his boys to rustle the cows of Dogo Gide’s in-laws and after the raid on his family, Buharin Daji’s boys herded away the cattle after killing two.
The development the source said angered Dogo Gide and he approached Buharin Daji and asked him to release the cows but he refused telling him that the cows had been shared among his boys.
One of the sources said: “Two days later, Dogo Gide and some of his loyalists called Buharin Daji for a meeting near Madada, a village located 14km south of Dansadau. And even before the meeting, Dogo Gide had already made up his mind that he would kill Buharin Daji and it was during the meeting that Dogo Gide shot Buharin Daji dead.”
“Thereafter, fighting ensued and eight of Buharin Daji lieutenants too were killed. It was reported that some armed bandits and cattle rustlers from Buharin Daji’s camp were tired of the way he was leading the group.”
