Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has expressed sadness over the bomb blast at Abachari area of Damboa Local Government Area of Borno State.

DAILY NIGERIAN reports that no fewer than 32 persons were on Sunday killed and 48 others injured in a massive explosion in Damboa.

The Borno State Police Command had said that at the sound of the explosion, personnel of the Nigeria police and members of the civilian JTF mobilised to the scene, and discovered twenty dead bodies and 48 injured persons in a suspected terrorist attack.

Mr Atiku gave his reaction via his Twitter account, saying: “I received with great concern, news of yet another attack in Borno with scores killed and many injured.

”My prayers and thoughts are with families of the deceased and injured even as I convey my deepest condolences over this needless loss of lives.”
