At least 22 people have been confirmed dead after two suicide bombers detonated their explosive vests in the midst of worshipers at a mosque in Mubi North in Adamawa State.
Recently, there have been attacks on towns of Madagali, Maiha, Michika, Mubi North and Mubi South on the fringes of Sambisa Forests.
Chairman of Mubi Local Government Council, Musa Bello, said hospital officials confirmed the death of 22 people in the dawn attack.
He said 40 people are currently receiving treatment at Mubi General Hospital.

Witnesses told DAILY NIGERIAN that the suicide bombers joined the worshippers at 5am on Tuesday and waited until the commencement of the prayer.
“They joined in saying Allahu Akbar at ‘Yan Shuwa Mosque in Madina area, and then we heard the deafening sound,” said a witness, Musa Bakari.
“Only few worshippers left the hospital unscathed.”
