Suspected Boko Haram terrorists have killed three soldiers and carted away arms and ammunition at a military base at Kamuya village along Buni Yadi-Biu Road in Borno State.

Kamuya, a border village contiguous with Buratai in Borno and Buni Yadi in Yobe State, is a dangerous spot of Boko Haram operations.

DAILY NIGERIAN reliaby gathered that the attack occurred on Wednesday evening when the commander of the base left in company of soldiers to attend a security meeting at 27 Task Brigade in Buni Yadi.
The base was only left with 15 men and an armoured personnel carrier, which helped in reducing the military casualties when the insurgents launched the attack.
“The base was only left with 15 soldiers while the rest went to accompany the commander to the brigade headquarters. It is a very dangerous area, so he must be escorted,” said a source.
