Nigeria’s dreaded terrorist group, Boko Haram, on Friday released the photo of three members of staff of the University of Maiduguri abducted by the insurgents on Tuesday.
On Thursday the remains of five members of staff of the institution were identified among over 30 bodies deposited at the morgue of the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital, UMTH, following Boko Haram attack on oil exploration team.
Among those killed by Boko Haram insurgents in the Tuesday deadly attack in Borno included Idris Njodi, the brother to the vice chancellor, Ibrahim Njodi.
Other slain staff are Dr. Militus J.V, Dr. Solomon N.Y, Mr. Yusuf Ibrahim, Alhaji Kolo, Mr. Daniel Birma and Mr. Manaja N. Uba.
But the chairman of the local branch of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, Dan Mamman, confirmed the death of five members of staff, saying four others are still missing.
