Boko Haram slaughters Imam, deputy in Borno village

The Boko Haram terrorists on Saturday night slaughtered an Imam of a Juma’at mosque, his deputy and two others at Gajiram, the headquarters of Nganzai Local Government Area of Borno State.

DAILY NIGERIAN reliably gathered that the insurgents stormed the residents of the Imam Mallam Babagana, his deputy Mallam Mukhtar and two other persons and slaughtered them.

A resident of the village, Goni Gajiram, said the insurgents also carted rustled a herd cattle after the midnight attack.

The military is yet to speak on the incident.

Residents of the village said the insurgents overrun the area almost on daily basis.

“Villages of Nganzai are attacked by Boko Haram on daily basis. Last week, Boko Haram came in 11 trucks and killed 9 people.

“Villages like Birimari, Goni Abachari and Monguno road always come under Boko Haram attack. We are appealing to government to come to our aide,” said Mr Gajiram.
