The Vice-Chancellor of newly-established Borno State University, BOSU, Umar Sandabe, on Wednesday said that the institution would allow its staff members to join workers’ unions.

Mr Sandabe gave the assurance in Maiduguri while receiving officials of Borno chapter of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, who paid him a courtesy visit.

Mr Sandabe said that the merger of the university with Borno College Education increased the number of staff, making it necessary to allow them to belong to any union of their choice.
