A professor of Physical Health Education at the Bayero University Kano, BUK, Monsuru Lasun-Eniola, has died on Wednesday after a brief illness.
DAILY NIGERIAN reports that although the cause of the professors’ death was not disclosed, Mr Lasun-Eniola’s demise is coming on the heels of several deaths professors and other prominent individuals who died of suspected COVID-19 disease in Kano State.
Recall that Prof. Balarabe Maikaba, a BUK’s prominent scholar and former Head of the Department of Mass Communications had dead on Sunday, April 26, at a private clinic in Kano metropolis, after a brief illness.
Until his death, Mr Lasun-Eniola, an indigene of Oyo State, was a senior lecturer at the BUK’s Department of Physical and Health Education, Faculty of Education.
Announcing the death in the early hours of Thursday, a senior lecturer at the institution, Garba Sheka, described the late professor as a devoted Muslim.
