The governor of Ekiti State and Chairman of Nigeria Governors Forum, NGF, Dr Kayode Fayemi, has tested positive for COVID-19.
Announcing on his official twitter handle @kfayemi on Wednesday, Mr Fayemi tweeted: “I took my third Covid-19 test yesterday and it came back positive.
“I’m generally ok and I’m already self- isolating at home and receiving the best of care from my medical team.
“I’m delegating critical tasks to my Deputy but will continue routine duty from home. JKF”.
This just coming as Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State has recorvered from the virus.
DAILY NIGERIAN reports that about six governors had tested positive for the virus.
Governors of Bauchi, Kaduna, Oyo, Delta, Ondo states, Bala Mohammed, Nasir El-Rufa’i, Seyi Makinde, Ifeanyi Okowa and Rotimi Akeredolu respectively, had tested positive for the virus at different times.
