President Muhammadu Buhari says Nigeria will always value good neighbourliness, cooperate with her neighbours and lend helping hand when necessary.

The President’s remarks are in a statement by Femi Adesina, the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity on Friday in Abuja.

Mr Adesina stated that the president made the remarks when he received the outgoing Ambassador of Equatorial Guinea, Job Obiang Esono Mbengono, at a farewell audience in State House, Abuja, on Friday.

Amb. Mbengono said Nigeria made great impact on his life, as he learnt a lot “about this big and important country,” describing Nigerians as friendly and warm people.

While congratulating Buhari on his re-election in the 2019 general elections, Mbengono said: “Nigeria is in good hands, and we are happy.”

The ambassador also conveyed the best wishes of President Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo to the Nigerian leader.
