President Muhammadu Buhari has canceled his proposed visit to Zamfara State, Governor Bello Matawalle disclosed.

The governor had earlier announced that the President was scheduled to travel to the state on Thursday for a one-day official visit.

According to Mr Matawalle, the President will be in the state to condole with the government and people of the state over the recent killing of 58 persons in Anka and Bukkuyum local government areas.

But the governor, in another statement, said the President canceled the trip because of poor weather conditions.

Mr Matawalle hinted that the President would reschedule his one-day condolence visit to the state next week.
