The acting president, Yemi Osinbajo, has given some details about his meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday in London.
Mr Osinbajo had spent one hour with Mr Buhari in London on Tuesday and then swiftly left for Nigeria.
Mr Buhari, 74, left Nigeria for the United Kingdom on medical leave on May 7.
Addressing State House correspondents on Wednesday shortly after his return, Mr Osinbajo said he met the president in high spirit and that he is recuperating very fast.
He said he was in London to see how the president was faring and brief him about the state of the nation.
“We had a very long conversation. We discussed wide ranging issues. He is in very good spirit, doing well and recuperating very past,” Mr Osinbajo said.
Asked whether he discussed the pending swearing-in of two ministers, the acting president said the issue was not discussed.
Pressed by reporters to state the date of the swearing-in, Mr Osinbajo said he could not give the specific date.
He also told reporters that the president will soon return home as “he is recuperating very fast”.
