The Senate on Tuesday received request from President Muhammadu Buhari, seeking the confirmation of a newly appointed Chairman for the Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria, AMCON, Edward Adamu.
DAILY NIGERIAN reports that Mr Adamu will replace Muiz Banire who had been occupying the position since July 2018.
The President’s action might have been prompted by the provision of the AMCON Act which provides that a deputy governor at the CBN should chair the corporation’s board.
