Buhari to visit Wudil Thursday, may shun Kano Gov’t House over GandujeGate

President Muhammadu Buhari is expected to visit Kano on Thursday for the passing out parade of Cadet Regular Course of Police Academy, Wudil but may not visit Kano Government House for a reception.

The presidential jet is expected to land at Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport on Thursday afternoon, and the president will proceed to Wudil, some 40 kilometres away from the state capital, in a helicopter.

DAILY NIGERIAN gathered that efforts is being made by the state government persuade the president to visit the government house and later commission some projects executed by the state governor, Abdullahi Ganduje.

But Presidency sources said Mr Buhari “is not keen on visiting the Government House” over the bribe-taking videos of the state governor published by DAILY NIGERIAN in October.

“The president is not happy about the bribe video issue. The president has not given the governor one-on-one audience since the release of the videos,” said a Presidency source.
