President Muhammadu Buhari has written to Senate, urging the upper legislative chamber to confirm his nomination of the immediate past Service Chiefs as ambassadors.
Mr Buhari’s letter was read by the Senate President Ahmad Lawan on the floor of the Senate on Tuesday during plenary.
The ex-Service Chiefs to be confirmed as envoys include: General Abayomi Olonisakin (rtd), Lt. General Tukur Buratai (rtd), Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas (rtd), Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar (rtd), and Air Vice Marshal Mohammed Usman (rtd).
