The Chief of Army Staff, Tukur Buratai, on Friday commissioned a Nigerian Army unit in Daura town of Katsina state.
Mr Buratai, a Lieutenant General, created the unit to further enhance security in parts of 1 Division Nigerian Army’s area of responsibility.
Daura town is the country home of president Muhammadu Buhari and the newly-created army unit was named after the president as Fort Muhammadu Buhari Forward Operation Base Daura, Katsina State.
