CAC management felicitates with Registrar-General Magaji as he marks 100 days in office

The management of the Corporate Affairs Commission, CAC, has felicitated with the Registrar-General/CEO of the commission, Hussaini Ishaq Magaji, SAN, for clocking 100 days in office.

This is contained in a statement posted on the CAC’s X handlie on Wednesday.

To mark the history-making event, the management and staff of the Commission joined well-wishers around the world to celebrate the milestone.

On behalf of CAC Management and Staff, the Director of Human Resources, Olayemi Olumide Oyeniyi, led a delegation to the Registrar-General’s Office to congratulate him on the day and to present a surprise congratulatory cake to him.

Mr Oyeniyi appreciated Mr Magaji’s “impactful leadership” and prayed to God Almighty to continue to grant him good health and wisdom to steer the commission to greater heights.

Responding, the registrar-general thanked the management and staff of the commission for what he called a surprising gesture.

Mr Magaji used the forum to restate his commitment to impact positively on the Commission and diligently serve the nation.

Recall that on October 13, 2023, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu had approved the appointment of Mr Magaji as Registrar-General and he assumed duty on October 16, 2023, amidst pomp and pageantry.

Born on 2nd August, 1982, Mr Magaji hails from Shira Local Government Area of Bauchi State, Nigeria.

He started his primary school in Jos, Plateau State in 1986 and finished in 1992.

He attended Government Science Secondary School, Toro, Bauchi State between 1992 and 1995 and obtained his Junior Secondary School Certificate.

Between 1996 and 1999 he attended Albayan Secondary School, Jos for his Senior Secondary School Certificate.

He studied Law at the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria between 2001 and 2007 and obtained his LLB (Hons). He then proceeded to the Nigerian Law School and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2008.

He did the mandatory NYSC in Jos, Plateau State in 2009.

He obtained Masters in Law at University of Jos in the year 2012 and went further for Masters in Business Administration (MBA) with specialization in Finance and Investment from Bayero University, Kano in the year 2014.

Mr Magaji began his career as Pupil State Counsel at Bauchi State Ministry of Justice in the year 2009.

He rose to the rank of Deputy Director Public Prosecution in the year 2020.

He was conferred with the rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria, SAN, by the Legal Practitioners and Privileges Committee, LPPC, in the year 2021.

He thereafter resigned from Public Service to Private Legal Practice where he set his Law Firm, ISHAQ MAGAJI SAN & CO and started Private Legal Practice on 9th December, 2021 until his appointment with the CAC by the Federal Government.
