CAN urges Buhari to release El-Zakzaky, Dasuki, others in captivity

The Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, has urged the President Muhammadu Buhari-led federal government to release from captivity the leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria, IMN, Ibrahim El-Zakzaky and the former Presidential security adviser, Sambo Dasuki.

The association also appealed to the federal government to ensure negotiation and release of Leah Sharibu and the remaining Chibok girls who had been in Boko Haram captivity.

The CAN president, Rev Dr. Samson Ayokunle, make the appeal weekend at a press conference heralding the Nigerian Baptist Convention, held at Ogbomoso, Oyo State.

Mr Ayokunle further urged President Buhari to put all machinery in motion to the insecurity across the country.
