Capital City University Kano has secured a full licence to operate as a private university in Nigeria, according to Rakiya Dangado, the university’s registrar.
Mrs Dangado said this in a statement to newsmen on Thursday in Abuja.
She said the development followed the National Universities Commission, NUC, visitation panel’s favourable assessment of the university’s facilities and operational procedures.
The registrar said that the NUC issued the full licence in place of the provisional certificate initially granted at the university’s commencement in 2021.
Mrs Dangado attributed the achievement to the governing council, management, and staff’s collective commitment to excellence.
“The university aims to transform education in Kano, Nigeria, and globally by continually enhancing its infrastructure to meet the evolving tertiary educational needs of society,” she stated.
