The Code of Conduct Tribunal, CCT, has suspended Munyi Magaji as the Chairman of the Kano State Anti-Corruption and Public Complaints Commission.

The tribunal granted a motion for his suspension pending the resolution of the case.

This was contained in a statement issued by Chief Press Secretary to the Code of Conduct Bureau, CCB, Veronica Kato, on Thursday.

“He [Umar] explained that Muhuyi Magaji cannot continue to discharge the duties and responsibilities of his office while facing trial, to avoid any interference with the case.

“Hence the suspension, this is pending the conclusion of the trial,” Kato said.

“The case has been adjourned to the 7th and 8th May 2024 for hearing.”
