One of Mr Kazaure’s controversial remarks was calling against giving “too much power” to women.

“If you give women the opportunity to take over this chamber, they will mess up, Mr. Speaker,” he said on March 8, during a House session to commemorate the International Women Day.

“When women go zigzag, we (men) are the ones to control them. That is why God says they should come under us. They should marry and serve under us.”
