An Abuja Federal High Court on Tuesday granted co-convener of the RevolutionNow movement, Omoyele Sowore, bail.
Justice Taiwo Taiwo said there was no longer a subsisting order holding Mr Sowore in detention, hence the need to grant him bail.
Justice Taiwo, however, ordered Mr Sowore to deposit his international passport to the court while releasing him to his lawyer, Femi Falana.
Recall that Mr Sowore had allegedly called for a revolution over the supposed failure of the current Federal Government.
Following the call for revolution, the Department of State Secret Services, SSS, had arrested the AAC 2019 presidential candidate.
Despite Mr Sowore’s arrest, the protest was held in pockets of locations.
