Court reduces Sowore’s N100m bail to N50m, varies other conditions

A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja on Monday varied the bail conditions it had granted to the convener of #RevolutionNow movement, Omoyele Sowore, and his co-defendant, Olawale Bakare.

The presiding judge, Justice Ijeoma Ojukwu, granted the order in a ruling on the application for a bail variation by Femi Falana, SAN,

Recall that the court had earlier granted a N100 million bail to Mr Sowore as well as two sureties who must be resident in Abuja and have landed properties within the federal capital territory.

Justice Ojukwu, however, reduced the N100 million bail to N50 million and removed 50 million security deposits.

For Mr Bakare, the court reduced the N50 million bail to N20 million.

She adjourned till November 6 and 7 for the commencement of trial.
