No fewer than 30 Almajiris have escaped from the Isolation Centre in Jigawa State Monday night, The Channels reports.

Recall that about 500 Almajiri returnees from Kano State had been isolated at the NYSC camp in Kiyawa local Government of the state.

A source, who is part of the state’s task-force on COVID-19, confirmed the escape, disclosed however that all the fleeing children had been recaptured and brought back to the isolation centre.

According to him, the parents of the children played a vital role in retrieving the escaped children.
