COVID-19: Juju musicians urge members to pray, play safe

The Association of Juju Musicians of Nigeria has appealed to its members to play safe and pray at this critical period in order to overcome the spread of COVID-19 pandemic.

Its President, Queen Ayo Balogun, who made the appeal on her Instagram handle, advised them to adhere to the government’s order which negated social gatherings.

Mr Balogun also urged them to pray for God’s intervention to end the scourge, both locally and internationally.

“In view of the Coronavirus pandemic going on all over the globe, I hereby advise all juju musicians to please stop playing until all is well and safe for us to do so.

“Remember we are always in close contact with our fans as they spray and request for some particular songs sometimes.

“Please let us comply with the instructions of the governments; please stay at home, pray for our dear country, Nigeria.

“Pray for the world. May God protect us all,” she said.
