The management of Tiamin Rice Ltd. has donated 3,600 bags of 25kg Head Rice, valued at the sum of N32,400,000, to the Bauchi State government as part of its contribution in cushioning the impact of Coronavirus pandemic in the state.
The company’s managing director, Aminu Ahmed, who made the disclosure in a statement on Thursday, said the donation was necessary, especially during such trying times.
According to him, the company is commitment to do more in the near future, while remaining committed towards achieving the best for the state.
Mr Ahmed said: “I want to first of all sympathise with his Excellency, “the people’s governor” over your recent health status of the ongoing global epidemic.
“This is indeed a trial moment for all of us sir, but we remain optimistic that ALLAH in his infinite mercy will heal you soon.”
“I wish to on behalf of myself and the entire management & staff of TIAMIN RICE, donate 3,600 bags of 25kg Head Rice, which is equivalent to the sum of N32,400,000.00 to Bauchi State government as part of our little contribution in containing the global Pandemic of Corona virus (Covid-19).
“And I also want to reiterate our commitment to do more in the near future as we remain committed towards achieving the best for our dear state while we remain prayerful to Almighty ALLAH to reinstate his excellency’s health status 100% within the shortest possible time,” the statement noted.
Recall that the state governor, Sen. Bala Mohammed, had tested positive for Coronavirus. Subsequently, two of his close contact contacted the virus.
