The publisher of the Daily Nigerian newspaper, Jaafar Jaafar, has lost his mother, Fatima Muhammadu, who died on Sunday at the age of 70 after a protracted illness.
She died at Muhammadu Abdullahi Wase Hospital, Kano and has since been buried at Dandolo Cemetery in the ancient city.
The deceased left behind nine children and many grandchildren.
