Barring a last-minute change, the deposed emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II, will lead hundreds of worshipers in Juma’at prayer in Awe town of Nasarawa State.
DAILY NIGERIAN gathered that Mr Sanusi accepted the request of the emir of Awe, Isa Umar, to lead the prayer.
It is, however, uncertain whether the deposed emir would be allowed by security agents to lead the congregational prayer.
A Federal High Court, sitting in Abuja, on Friday, ordered the immediate release of the deposed emir who is currently confined to Awe town.
Justice Anwuli Chikere, who gave the order in an ex-parte motion brought by the team of Mr Sanusi’s lawyers, also granted the prayers for all the respondents to be served through substituted means should it become impossible to personally effect the service.
