The Lagos State Ministry of Education, Office of Education Quality Assurance, OEQA, has warned residents to disregard a purported resumption timetable circulating on the social media.

Recall that the state governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, had on August 29 announced that the state government was working towards September 21 for primary and secondary schools resumption in the state.

He, however, described the resumption date as tentative.

Debunking the resumption date rumor, the OEQA spokesperson, Emmanuel Olaniran, in a statement on Monday, said the calendar did not emanate from his office.

The timetable cited by The Nation states that the first term of the session would start on September 21 and end on December 18.

The purported calendar gives January 11, 2021 and May 3 as the start dates for second and third terms.
