The Peoples Democratic Party gubernatorial aspirant in Zamfara State, Bello Muhammad (Matawallen Maradun), has called on the people in the state to embrace peace and live with one another.

Mr Muhammad, in a Sallah message on Wednesday, congratulated the entire Muslim ummah in the state and nation at large on the occasion of Eid-el-Kabir celebrations.

While stressing on the importance of putting the virtues of Islam into practice beyond the festivities, the gubernatorial aspirant also extended his goodwill message to Zamfara state Governor Abduaziz Yari and the Zamfara emirate council.

“On this Sallah message, I call on the good people of Zamfara State to shun all forms of violence and live in peace. We know our good state is facing insecurity challenges, but with our respective efforts, we can put the crisis aside and live happily with one another.

“It is on this note that I task the government of the state to find lasting solutions to the insecurity challenges we are now facing in Zamfara. It is the obligation of the government to secure people’s lives and properties,” Mr Muhammad noted.

He, therefore, urged the good people of Zamfara State to seize the opportunity of the festival to pray for the state and nation at large.

While reiterating his resolve to seek for a mandate to govern the state, Mr Muhammad said that one of his visions was to curb all menace of insecurity that is bedevilling the state.

“My state is facing much insecurity challenges, but as an indigene, I see that the onus rests on the government to find ways of curbing the menace.

Also, as part of my mission and vision when I come into power, we shall work out all modalities to foster peace, curtail the menace of insecurity in the state,” Matawallen Maradun added.
