The Kaduna State governor, Nasir El-Rufai, has escaped mob action as half-naked women protesters destroyed vehicles in his convoy in protest against incessant killings in Southern Kaduna.
According to a report on BBC Hausa website, the women defied a 24-hour curfew imposed on the area and came out in droves to protest the killings.
Earlier, the governor had addressed the protesters, listened to their plights and assured them of improved security.
Of late, there has been resurgence of clashes between Fulani herdsmen and natives of the area.
On Monday, dozens of people were killed, property destroyed and churches and mosques torched in the latest spate of violence in the area.
Spokesman to the governor, Samuel Aruwan, did not respond to Daily Nigerian‘s call.
