The Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai on Monday enrolled his six-year-old son, Abubakar Al-Siddique, into state government-owned, Kaduna Capital School, in the state.
DAILY NIGERIAN reports that the move was in fulfilment of a promise made by the governor in 2017 when he expressed his commitment to reform the education sector in the state.
Writing on his Twitter handle @elrufai, the governor said, “On 28 Dec 2017, Malam Nasir @elrufai stated that “I will by personal example ensure that my son that will be six years of age in 2019 will be enrolled in a public school in Kaduna State, by God’s grace.”
“Abubakar Al-Siddique El-Rufai has today enrolled as a Primary One pupil of Kaduna Capital School,” he said.
