Suspected thugs have set ablaze the Orile-Iganmu Police Station along Apapa road in Lagos State.

The incident had occurred on Tuesday morning during the ongoing protest against the disbanded Special Anti Robbery Squad, SARS.

DAILY NIGERIAN gathered that incident followed the alleged shooting of a female protester by the police.

The hoodlums, it was also gathered, have vowed to raze down all the police stations in the state in protest for the killing of the female protester.

Some policemen in the station responded by shooting sporadically at the crowd of protesters.

A dead body, with injuries on his head, was cited by NAN correspondent at the scene of the incident.

The entire Orile Iganmu bus station was thrown into pandemonium.

The international route of the Lagos/Badagry expressway became congested as motorists make hurried U-turn while pedestals scamper for safety during the shootout.
