The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, FAAN, has confirmed crashlanding of Max Air aircraft at Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport, MAKIA, in Kano state.
A statement by Obiageli Orah, director, Public Affairs and Consumer Protection in Abuja on Wednesday said the incident happened on Tuesday, January 28.
In the statement, Mrs Orah explained that the incident happened when a Max Air Boeing 737 with registration 5N-MBD, experienced a nose wheel landing gear collapse and a rear tire burst while landing on Runway 06/24 at MAKIA.
She disclosed that there were 53 passengers and 6 crew members on board.
According to Mrs Orah, there were no injuries to the passengers or the crew members on board.
