The former governor of Gombe state Danjuma Goje has lost his wife, Fatima Yelwa Goje.
Mrs Goje died Monday in the United States of America at the age of 55 after a protracted illness.
Mr Goje, a senator, was the governor of Gombe state between 2003 and 2011. He currently chairs the Senate Committee on Appropriation.
She left behind her husband, six children, 10 grandchildren and many relatives.
