The Ekiti State governor, Kayode Fayemi, has emerged chairman of the Nigerian Governors’ Forum, NGF.

The Ekiti governor emerged the chairman of the forum in an election held Wednesday evening in Abuja.

Mr Fayemi was touted as the favorite candidate to challenge the governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai.

He takes over from Zamfara State Governor Abdulaziz Yari.
