The weekly Federal Executive Council, FEC, meeting has been shifted to Thursday, October 26 with the 2018 Budget Proposal as the sole agenda.
The meeting, traditionally being held on Wednesday, is to be presided over by President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa.
A series of tweet by the official twitter handle of the presidency (@NGRPresident) on Wednesday morning, said “Federal Executive Council (FEC) Meeting will hold tomorrow, Thursday Oct. 26. Agenda is #Budget2018, which is currently being finalized.”
Last week, the meeting was presided over by the Vice president, Yemi Osinbajo, as the president was on a trip to Turkey for a D-8 summit.
The Nigerian government has insisted that it would transmit the 2018 budget proposal to the National Assembly by October, but with barely a week before the month lapse, the budget is still being worked on by the presidency.
