The Kaduna State governor, Nasir El-Rufai has caused tweeterstorm on Sunday after his claim that there is no private primary school in the United States.

Mr El-Rufai, in a series of tweets on his education policy on Saturday, indicated interest to borrow a leaf from the US and make primary education public in the state.

“It’s striking to me that, United States of America, one of the most capitalist countries in the world, has no private primary schools. This makes us more determined to restore the quality of primary education in Kaduna,” Mr El-Rufai tweeted.

Mrs Fagge-Kollere’s tweet generated wild reaction on the governor’s official handle, with most people asking the governor to respond to the journalist’s claim.
