The governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello, has announced that a controversial politician and former minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has joined the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.
On Wednesday the Nation published the video of the governor addressing a crowd, saying Mr Fani-Kayode, who is a foundation member of APC, has rejoined the party.

Mr Fani-Kayode was the director of publicity in 2015 Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, campaign council.
He is one of the most consistent and acerbic critic of the ruling party.
On Monday, Mr Fani-Kayode’s pictures with the governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello and subsequently with the governor of Yobe State and chairman of the APC caretaker committee, Mai Mala Buni, sparked speculations that the controversial politician was planning to defect to the APC.
Although Mr Fani-Kayode said the visit to the two key politicians was to build bridges for the stability of the country, sources said the visit was to prepare ground for his imminent defection.
