A 400-level student in the Department of Political Science at the Bayero Univeristy, Kano, Mercy Sunday, has died after suffering a fever.

The BUK’s Dean of Student Affairs, Dr Shamsudeen Umar, who confirmed the incident, said the student was found dead on Tuesday at the Ramat Hall female students’ hostel.

According to Mr Umar, the deceased student had treated the fever at the university clinic couple of days ago before it returned Monday night and took her life.

 “She was sick and attended the University clinic where she was taken care of before being discharged to her hostel. But the illness returned on Monday night and she died before daybreak on Tuesday,” Daily Trust reported Mr Umar as saying.
