The national working committee, NWC, of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has suspended governor Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun state and his counterpart in Imo state, Rochas Okorocha, over anti-party activities.

The NWC also recommended the expulsion of the governors from the party to the national executive committee, NEC, of APC, after a meeting on Friday in Abuja.

Messrs Amosun and Okorocha have openly backed gubernatorial candidates different from APC’s candidate in their respective states. The preferred candidates of both governors lost the APC primaries in their states.
