The Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of First Planet Travels Limited, Umar Kaila, has condoled with the people and government of Jigawa State over the tragic tanker explosion that killed over 150 people.

Mr Kaila, in a condolence message he signed, expressed deep sorrow and sadness over the tragedy that killed nearly 150 people comprising women and children in Majia, Taura local government of Jigawa state.

He commended the Jigawa State Government under the leadership of Governor Umar Namadi for its proactiveness in bringing succour to the injured and the families of the victims.

He said while death is inevitable, he urged the bereaved families to be steadfast and prayerful for their loved ones.

The Flynas chief urged well-meaning Nigerians to complement the state government and federal agencies’ efforts in providing succour to the wounded and the families of the deceased.

Mr Kaila, who is the Chairman of Hadejia Central Primary School Class of 67/73, lauded the federal agencies for vowing to investigate the tragedy.

“The federal government, aside from investigating the tragedy, should also put mechanisms in place to avert the recurrence of this ugly trend across the country,” he said.
