Governor Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State has approved the appointment of the immediate past Kano State Commissioner of Police, Mohammed Wakili as a Special Adviser on Security to the governor.
In a statement on Monday by the Senior Special Assistant to the governor on Media and Publicity, Ismaila Uba-Misilli, Mr Yahaya also appointed a retired Army officer, Col. Sani Adamu Dabsiya as Special Adviser on security matters.
Also appointed by the governor are, Dijatu Bappah, as Special Adviser on Social Investment; Alh. Garba Jijji Gadam, Special Adviser on Inter-Governmental Relations and Geoffrey Namu Birba, Special Adviser on Drugs and Narcotics.
Others include Hamma Adama Ali Kumo, Special Adviser on House of Assembly Matters and Abubakar Inuwa Tata, Chairman, Fiscal Responsibility Commission.
The statement said Mr Yahaya also forwarded the names of 18 Commissioners-designate to the state House of Assembly for confirmation as members of the state executive council.
Recall that the governor had earlier vowed to send the list of the Commissioner-nominees to the state House of Assembly before 1st October.
According to the statement, “all appointments are with immediate effect”.
