The Emir of Argungu, Alhaji Samaila Mohammed Mera has directed men of the Federal Road Safety Corp, FRSC to commence public enlightenment as well as organize a joint patrol with other Security agencies in order to stamp out over loading, speeding and reckless driving.
A statement by the Zonal Public Education Officer, ZPEO, ACC Aliyu Maaji quoted the emir as making the call at a stakeholders forum organized by the Emirate with other relevant bodies and religious leaders within the emirate on Wednesday 24 July 2019.
FRSC charged the Emirates to respect all aspects of road traffic regulations in order to bring down the rising rate of road crashes within the Emirates.
The Emir also directed FRSC to give him weekly reports on the development.
He commended management of FRSC for establishing a unit command in the emirate and urged the command to function optimally.
