The governor of Kano State, Abdullahi Ganduje, has approved the appointment Mahmoud Balarabe as acting chairman of Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission, PCACC.
The decision followed suspension of Muhuyi Rimingado, who held the position for about six years.
A statement by the spokesman of the governor, Abba Anwar, said the appointment is with immediate effect.
“Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje of Kano state has approved the appointment of Barrister Mahmoud Balarabe, who is currently a Director for Public Prosecution with the state Ministry of Justice, as acting Executive Chairman of Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission.
“The appointment is with immediate effect and directed the acting Executive Chairman to discharge his duties diligently, according to the laid down procedures establishing the Commission,” the statement said.
