The governor of Kano State, Abdullahi Ganduje, has appointed board members for some government agencies, heads of state-owned media organisations and members of the Kano State Hajj Affairs Tribunal, among others.
Board members of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Kano State Hisbah Board, Heads of Kano Sports Council, Research and Documentation, Kano State Investment and Properties Company, KSIP, Kano State Library Board are among the new appointments, which are with immediate effect.
While commending those that got renewal of appointments in their respective offices, for discharging their duties diligently, during the first tenure in office, he called on all appointees to remain focus in discharging their responsibilities.
“This government has focus. And we believe in scientific planning of our responsibilities for proper execution of both ideals and ideas, for the overall development of the state.
“All appointees should take it at the back of their minds that our government is people-oriented and should remain so,” a statement by the governor’s spokesman, Abba Anwar, said.
