Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State has approved the re-appointment of Shehu Abbas-Mu’azu as Accountant-General of the state and Abdallah Tahir-Al-Kenanah as Director-General, Urban Beautification Agency.
A statement on Friday by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Abba Anwar, said all the appointments are with immediate effect.
“While being impressed with Mu’azu’s hard work and dedication as an Accountant-General in the first tenure of the governor and few months into the second tenure, Governor Ganduje demands Mu’azu to continue being a transparent and committed professional,” the statement noted.

The governor urged the new appointees to deploy modern technology in service delivery, saying: “As we are in modern day, with technology taking the centre stage in governance, I urge you to be IT-based in your officially assigned responsibilities”.
Speaking of Tahir-Al-Kenanah, the governor expressed his appreciation in the appointee’s zeal and commitment in beautifying the town in recent time.
“Keep the good work, so as to take the face of our urban areas to the next level,” governor said.
