Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State has reinstated his Special Adviser on Media, Salihu Tanko-Yakasai, who was suspended over unguarded utterances on the person of President Muhammadu Buhari.

DAILY NIGERIAN recalled that the governor had suspended Mr Tanko Yakasai, following Mr Tanko-Yakasai’s gaffe on social media, posting outlandish comments against the administration of President Buhari.

Disclosing the reinstatement on Thursday, the state government on its verified Twitter handle, said: “H.E Governor Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje OFR has approved the reinstatement of his Special Adviser on Media, Salihu Tanko Yakasai from his suspension.”

Reacting to the reinstatement on his Twitter handle, Mr Tanko-Yakasai expressed his gratitude to his family and friends who rejoiced with him over the new development.

 “I wish to thank each and every one that reached out to me, or sent messages of goodwill over my reinstatement as Special Adviser Media to H.E @GovUmarGanduje, after my 2wks suspension. I am grateful to you all for your support and prayers. Thank you so much. #ZeroTension,” Mr Tanko-Yakasai wrote.
